The Monsterverse is one of the two main universes and has a close connection with the Magic and Myth Universe.

It essentially follows our real world timeline and events, but with the extra layer of things that go bump in the night.
Kind of like if paranormal sightings and secret government agency type things were real. Nothing that would contradict anything major in our real world, but adds a little extra alongside it.

Why call it "The Monsterverse"?
I enjoy coming up with creatures and want to make film with them in it, but also want them to co-exist.  So hence the name of this film universe.  Films such as Wairangi, Party Demons, etc (with more on the way) all take place within the same continuity.

Going forward, I want to have a bigger and better sense of interconnectivity, so expect plotlines, characters, creatures and events to cross paths with one another in some form.
